Change Management
One of several models that I use in my practice is the model of change. In my practice I support and coach several persons who go through change. People facing changes often experience several emotional stages over a period. I use the change model to understand the different phases of a change.
The period it takes a person to adjust to the change is based on how welcome the change is, the impact on the individual, and the prior emotional state. For example, a person who is stressed prior to the change may find adjusting harder than someone who is not stressed. Individual circumstances are all different.
I support the client to understand the impact of change and to minimise the associated emotional and practical implications.
